VaultBix Privacy Policy

VaultBix makes zero network requests. All data processing happens locally in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, or store any user data on any server.

What VaultBix Does

VaultBix is a Chrome extension that detects sensitive data (API keys, passwords, credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers, and other credentials) in text inputs on AI chat websites. It warns you before you accidentally share secrets with AI tools.

Data Processing

All sensitive data detection is performed entirely within your browser using local JavaScript pattern matching. VaultBix does not use any cloud-based AI, machine learning services, or external APIs for detection.

What We Store (Locally Only)

VaultBix stores the following data in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

This data never leaves your device. There is no server-side storage.

What We Do NOT Collect

Network Requests

VaultBix makes zero outbound network requests. The extension does not contact any server, API, or third-party service. There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no phone-home functionality.

Third-Party Services

VaultBix does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services.

Permissions

Data Deletion

You can clear all locally stored data at any time through the VaultBix popup (Settings > Clear All Local Data) or by uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling completely removes all stored data.

Children's Privacy

VaultBix does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13, as it does not collect any personal data from any user.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
